This book was a struggle for me...the storyline felt chaotic and unfocused...I felt frustrated the majority of time with the decisions Alexa made...she seemed helpless and insecure turning from one man to another for her comfort (I think she had some level of sexual interaction with at least 5 different characters!!!)... it seemed the story got lost to the sexual dynamics....for me, the relationship between Alexa, Arys, and Shaz stepped too far out of my comfort zone that I felt disconnected from it and uninterested in it's outcome...I suppose I was looking for the story to deepen in it's meaning and complexity, but I was left disappointed...2 stars:(Product details

Haven't finished reading it yet. Don't know why AMAZON is so worried about wanting a review when they CAN NOT even deliver the services their customers paid for and don't get with out a lot of hassle and disrespect from their tech representatives when you seek help. The first thing they do is blame the customers kindle " CAUSE AMAZON DON'T MAKE MISTAKE ". And when you ask for a person with authority to contact you to help solve the problems you have, NO ONE at AMAZON seems to have the time or inclination to do so. It's has been over 2 month since I had my problem and NO ONE has contacted me, even use the mayday button on my kindle(3rd) and didn't do any good as no one seemed to be able to help or want to help. So right now I own a AMAZON KINDLE FIRE HD $375 piece of uselessness. Seems AMAZON is only interested in taking their customers money and to hell with giving them the services, guess they don't care about " THEIR CUSTOMERS RELATIONS " anymore. More interested in opening stores now to sucker more money form people
Once again Alexa finds herself in deep. She has so many things to learn about her new powers and her relationship with Arys and Shaz. Not only is she fighting bad guys she's fighting with herself to figure out who and what she is. The author did a great job with the storyline. I enjoy the sense of danger that's in every book but I love the sweet and sexy moments Alexa has with her 2 lovers. I couldn't put it down until I finished it. The characters are so easy to connect with and I enjoy how they carry over through each book. This is a wonderful series. Highly recommend
Better and better With every book of the Alexa O'Brien series they get even more action packed, sensual and touching.
I can't even begin to tell you how surprised this one turned out, in some turns I knew they would eventually happen, preferably sooner rather than later as was done.
I really enjoyed reading books 1-3.

The summary does describe this book however what is with the added relationship with Kane? He's gone from being her partner at work and one of her best friends to now being "in love" with Alexa and wanting more including her blood? Kale has been a vamp for a few hundred years, I would have thought he would have been able to control his "bloodlust" by now.
The threesome sex scenes with Shaz her werewolf mate and Arys her vamp power and blood bonded mate is now getting too weird. I skim over the sex scenes, or skip them altogether so fast to get back to the storyline.
I do love the storyline, which is why I've now read 4 in the series and the short story book Stunner, however none of the books/stories need these play by play sex scenes, let the story ride on it's own merit, it's good enough.
I only gave this one 3 stars as the sex scenes are getting to be too much and distracting from the main plot.
Keep to the story and my stars will raise!
Fair warning, this series does contain violence (Alexa is an assassin for hire, and a werewolf) and some sexual scenes. Content is for mature readers only.
Alexa's life is anything but simple. In "Only Vampires Cry Blood" Alexa has to make some hard, life defining decisions. We see her character struggle and grow as she comes to terms with the decisions and consequences of those decisions. Nothing is ever black and white, and her decisions will affect her loved ones the most. Trina M. Lee weaves an inescapable spell, drawing you into the story so you hold your breath, feel your heart break, and celebrate with Alexa.
The third book in the series. The summary above is an actual summary. No need for me to repeat, since it's the same characters as before. Once again Alexa is in deep trouble. Not only physically this time. She needs to figure out where all the males are situated in her life. She loves Shaz and Arys but can they work it out? There are a few inconsistencies in the story but nothing that is really detrimental to the story. The plot is pretty solid. The characters are pretty well developed. I think Alexa is a strong woman that needs to make up her mind on where she stands. I'm guessing people don't understand that Arys is her twin flame which means that yes they are meant to be together but should not have met in any life time but did simply because Arys is a vampire. Shaz is Alexa mate and they were meant to be together in this life time. Most of the time Alexa is drawn to the men that she would have been meant to have been with if she was in another life time however she meets them because they are vampires.
This series had potential but I think it got lost somewhere along the way. Alexa had the ability to wield magic and yet was still a werewolf and of course the two lovers in her life did spice up the pages yet the ongoing threesome does not lend credibility to this book. I am less invested in the characters as their relationships don't feel genuine, more like shock value really, especially the scene at the end between Shaz and Arys.Alexa is still reactive and has not learn't self control indulging her whims and does not suffer any responsibility for all the drama she causes. So much could have been done with the plot about Alexa wanting to take down Arys sire yet it ended with a whimper and not a bang. Still some action and sexy scenes but no real substance which is disappointing.
