Lovely story. I liked all the characters in this one, especially Wendy. She is one spunky girl. Duncan has had his heart broken and is understandably leery of starting another relationship. He seems to have placed the entire blame on the previous boyfriend's age instead of on the fact that he was a user and a cheat. Duncan has a lot of heartache to deal with and resists Patrick's dogged pursuit. At least when he isn't looking at him or hearing him or imagining him. Patrick was so persistent that it elevated his appeal. He wasn't going to let Duncan's past determine their future. His unrelenting pursuit of Duncan makes me smile. He knows that in the end Duncan will be his and all will be right. Patrick's little sister makes me laugh. She is quite the little spit fire. The ending is super sweet.Recommended author and book

Duncan the Third edition by Trina Solet Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Yeah, this was alright. The flow did not work for me, but it got the job done. Guess this is just not my type of story.
This was a great story. This is the Story of Patrick and Duncan. Duncan is 13 year older then Patrick and has had his heart broken by a younger man in the past, so he does not want to give up his heart to another one. Then Patrick and his little sister move in. It is a great story. It was great that it it was not like in other story that Duncan does not want to get involved but the next day they are in bed together. It takes some time for him to let his guard down. I would recommend this story to others
really good book, loved how open Patrick was for his attraction to Duncan, wendy was so cute and sassy. good story, good writing, romance was great, steamy. enjoyed very much.
Good story idea, interesting characters but the lack of real obstacles and a nine year old whose dialogue at times does not feel real were a couple of the problems for me.
A little too much angst on the part of the older man. Good, believable characters; well developed story line; great dialog; some great sex, and some too contrived sex scenes. It is a more realistic, less sugary sweet, how to build your own family, gay romance.
I enjoyed it, but I have read better by Ms. Solet, so I suppose I was expecting a higher standard.
Perfect how older guy Duncan with a broken heart meets his new hot neighbor Patrick and his ornery sister. My only complaint is that in the beginning of the book I thought the sister was much older than 9, so throughout the book that kept throwing me off. Sometimes she would act and say things like a normal 9 year old girl would, and other times I kept picturing her as 17 or 18, so it was awkward. Duncan and Patrick were awesome together and I loved the happy ending.
Patrick and Wendy (he being in his early 20's and she being 9) have recently lost their parents and had been living in an apartment. The building had been sold and forced them to move and move they did right next to Duncan. Wendy named him Duncan the third as their last name was Duncan. Wendy was determined to find her gay brother a boy friend, but not Duncan the Third as he wasn't cute. Patrick was interested in Duncan and Duncan was determined not to become involved with the much younger Patrick. The story is fun and fast moving. It's well worth the time to read and I recommend it.
